Bought these lights and installed them this week. I love them. I did put a bead of silicone around the edge of each light - seemed like there were several gaps where moisture and dust could get through. I'm also going to rewire the halo to my DRLs over the weekend.

From the ad on ebay (DT Moto) where I bought them, it says the light bar is DLR, but that's not the case. Currently, the light bar is connected to the main headlight. I can take some photos of the wiring this evening if interested. It looks like there is a blue and black wire feeding from the halo that connects to the wiring of the headlight. My thinking is to disconnect the blue and black wires and connect them with the parking light positive and negative wires. Others have mentioned that if you put your truck on the setting before the headlights on setting, then the DLRs and light bar come on. I need to confirm that before doing any rewiring.

As others have mentioned, I would put some silicone on these bad boys. I love the look of these lights, but the overall brightness of the halogen projector seems comparable to the stock halogen.

For clarification, my aftermarket headlights came with H9 bulbs (as well as halogen DRLs and side marker lights). At the socket of the H9 bulb, there is an adapter that the bulb plugs into. On the other side of the adapter, is your three-prong fitting that fits your stock female plug. The H9 bulb is single filament so it's on high 100%. These lights use a lens that actuates for low beam so half of the output is covered, and vice versa for high beams (lens is all the way up).

UPDATE: If you put your headlights on the middle setting that controls the side marker, parking, tail, license plate, daytime running lights and instrument panel lights, the light bar will come on with the DRLs.

Hey guys new to the forum thing. I have the Tacoma beast head lights in my 09 ! Absolutely love them! Expensive - yes. I’m in Ontario Canada and shipping / exchange / duty way more then what I wanted to spend but so glad I did it! Bright head lights - perfect fit!

I just installed the chrome version. What do you guys think? I felt it was a more subtle look vs the blacked housing ones.

I think those look great and much closer to a "factory look". I've been debating which headlights I should order. TRD Pro factory lights or something aftermarket. I have to admit, my taste has changed a bit as I've gotten older and I've had a lot of issues with aftermarket headlight assemblies. I wish they had a more subtle version of the 12-15 lights which were not full chrome.
