You could buy one in any color one, have it completely repainted inside and out, and still have enough money left over for hookers and blow.

Hey everyone sorry for taking so long getting back to this thread.

The car is 1/9 based on unofficial numbers - yet very good info the supra community has been able to gather. Think of how fanatic these owners are. The numbers we have just haven't been 'sanctioned' by Toyota.

Anyway - here's how this breaks down:
Only a few hundred hardtop turbo cars were ever produced in years 93, 94, and 95 only. They only came in the targatop version afterwards.
In 1994, they only painted 9 of them baltic blue: http://www.suprahardtopregistry.com/main.htm

There's lots of baltics, lots of turbo cars, and lots of hardtops, but many are turbo swaps into n/a hardtop cars, 6 speed swaps into turbo automatic cars, repaints, etc.

This was originally manufactured like this. Also - hardtops are known to bring a big premium of between 5 and 10K since they didn't make nearly as many hardtops as targa tops. Even among all years and configurations.

Also finding one that has largely been untouched is becoming increasingly difficult.

I have the car on an 'agreed value' insurance plan that easily passed at 50K. That means there's no fighting me on value of the car that's what it is. That was 2 years ago. I could go appraise it for 65K easy and bring that up.

I dropped the price to 65K a little bit ago. Want to sell it sooner than later but not in a big rush.

Why not go ahead and get an appraisal? It seems to be the way to back up the value when talking rare cars that are much more valuable than the norm.

For one: They cost about 350 to do and take a few weeks.

Two: No need to. Anybody who knows these cars and is willing to buy it will know what the car is worth. I was just posting here to see if anybody had a supra fanatic friend who was looking.

It’s $350 and with an appraisal you will easily get the money back. If someone is interested the appraisal can indicate if the car is as described and determine if they travel long distances to see the car. This is standard practice in the classic car world and I figured you would see the value in it.

My neighbor sold his fathers model T ford and 50’s Chev to a guys on the other side of the country. The appraisal was required on both sales before they jumped on planes to come and view them. Then the transportation company showed up and one was shipped to Vancouver and the other to Calgary. Pictures only show so much. After all you are offering finders fees but then cheap out on the appraisal.
