Took the measurements of the box as there are two caps forsale local

 

So i decided to order the whole kit $236.81 CAD to the door ..... I seen in a related post about this and its about $80 worth of bearings and bushings and i still need a belt, and time to pack around doing the install and i would be using idlers and a tension assembly with 380 000 km. Found a coupon code for rock auto and saved 5%

I also learned that a 245 70 17 is a different size from a 245 70 16 ..... yes the rim is a different size but over all diameter

 

Getting new rubber?

 

No just comparing what was on 17” it to the used tires that came on the 16” rims I just bought

 

Not bad at all.. I was in a tight spot last winter and had to let the dealership do this one for me.. If I had children, they would have had my firstborn, instead they just emptied my bank account dry.. Same job cost me 4x as much..
and now you won't need to worry about bearings going for years

@bdbrown this kit was the best bang for the buck by far. I need this truck to be dependable to drive 3 h to cabin and back with my family I had visions of one idler coming apart and taking out fan, rad and other parts on the way

 

377 Safari Scout, I never saw one before, or maybe and didn't pay attention. Rolls like a charm!

Also got the used back rack today I think it’s going to be to big for the truck thought I could move the brackets in but the side hoops are still wider then the cab (will have to test fit to make sure)

I have the splash guards from the frame to the body traced out to make some new ones as mine are missing or torn. I will scan the trace and upload it so other people can print , cut , trace onto their own rubber.

 

So ABS sensors, handbrake cables x2, rear flex lines x2, and 10 wheel studs showed up today busy weekend

 

So it might actually be safe to drive?

The 07 is parked at work as it still needs to pass a MVI to transfer it into my name.

 

Guys i have a few questions about my build i decided to put them in a stand alone question post as am really unsure if and how many people actually look at this build and i am thinking more people visit the second gen forum then a lame post about a Canadian family taco build done on a budget lol
