ONLY 20? Man you better get on that. We might lose faith in you as The King of Kingsford.

You could get one of those General Steel buildings I always see advertised on TV. That way you could pack in 3000+ SF of Kingsford stock. :)

    Your lead is growing.

I just busted into a bag of Kingsford to get a large chimney full to start the smokewagon. I'll be feeding her straight hickory for the rest of the cook, though.

Nice bed of Kingsford coals to lay the first two hickory sticks on.....running smooth.

So those of you who do that... you never have an issue with too much smoke?

So no attempt at just the thin blue smoke coming out? Curious, I know you always do it this way but I never stopped to ask how.

Last time I took advantage of that deal, I got it from Home Depot (Lowe's was making you buy lighter fluid with it). I placed the order online and got 20 2-packs for 720 pounds worth of charcoal. On my way to pick it up, I got a call from the supervisor over the order pickup area confirming that I had entered my order correctly. Otherwise, I showed up, they helped load, and I was on my way.

I only kept half of it. The other half was for a donation to a veterans' homeless shelter.

Now that you mention it, I'm probably down to my last handful of bags (have supplemented with some Weber briquettes when Target had those on sale). When's the next sale?!?!?!?

I use BGE brand of charcoal and add hickory chunks when smoking.

I'll probably be limping across the finish line, but I think I can make it until then.

You could always study while smoking... i mean if you put the beer down on the table in between sips you should have 2 hands for book holdin

And im with Scott on the smoke. If i cant easily see the smoke, there needs to be more.

Agreed, no reason to toss it unless it has sat out in moist conditions for awhile and has taken on airborne moisture... in that case, it'll throw off your mojo because it won't burn like the stuff you're used to.
