    I just bought a 2017 Tacoma new (my first Toyota, like it so far) and realized my wife has trouble getting in the vehicle, she is 5 ft 2. What are the side step aftermarket options or should I go with Toyota parts.

    I mentioned that if you want a good deal on OEM steps, check the TW marketplace because many members sell theirs when updating to sliders. I recently sold my tube steps there too. You can also post a “WTB OEM tube steps” there too.

    The thread in the link above also has some good aftermarkets listed too.

    You could always look into some Sliders also, some are made to sit further out and can also function as a step.

    My wife is 5’2” as well and I had to put steps on for her. The are made by Carr and the only down side is you have to remove them for off-roading.

    My wife is also 5’2 and I have two kids and the Toyota Predator steps are great. I bought the same for my 4Runner. I recommend!
