Been there, done that. Only it's my laptop I forget. At that point I just turn around and say I'm working from home.

    Hey y'all.

So....here's the short version of the story. 2017 was the year of the FIL; 2018 is the year of my dad. Not going into specifics, but he's having serious surgery at the end of the month and I'm heading up to Missouri to take care of him and Mom during what is expected to be a long recovery. He's 73, and healthy otherwise, but the surgery is going to be a bitch (open skull). We've been busy getting things in order, so I've been (and will continue to be) a little scare on TW for a while.

I still check the site as time permits, so if we need to add anyone to the list or add/update photos so the stalkers can prepare, just IM me.

Thanks folks, and I hope to get through the next few months better than how 2017 went.

Best bundled deals I've found so far. Free shipping and you can choose from 8,000kg or 11,000kg snatch straps. I thought about a plano or pelican on the roof, but I want the recovery gear with me all the time. I figure its not if, but when, sticky fingers take the case and/or load bars from the Prinsu thinking the contents contain firearms. If I was just loading up the pelican for off-roading trips then the case on the roof would be fine.

Swap the hardware on the Prinsu.
Bolt box into every cross bar it touches.

They'll have to really try to get it.

I ended up ordering this Hi-Lift tree saver last night. Good length. Good strength. Right price.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017ZBERY6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I picked up some locks for the Plano. Still need those bolts to secure it. That will be the next thing.

For my D-rings I tried to go cheap, made a Home Depot run and found some 3/4" fabric washers for 80¢ each. Went out to the parking lot, opened two and tried to put them on... too small! Not worth it to return the other two. Got this set today https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004IARSFI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Really not worried much about the side-to-side. What I noticed now though was that the cable is pulling the shackle against the bumper and is already wearing the paint. Need to fab some sort of padding I can stick on there.

Temps don't come with access here :frusty: And I have to escort a vendor around all day (week) for maintenance... But a temp with access day badge would've been a nice option.

If you haven't watched Corporate, on Comedy Central, you should. Hilarious, for those of us working for the corporate man. A recent episode had one of the characters telling off the guy at the guard station, then forgetting his badge the next day. The guard wouldn't wave him in...
