My limited leather steering wheel has seen better days. I'm looking to swap it out with a different model Toyota steering wheel. I've done some research and member's have been saying the 98-03 Sienna's, Sequioa's and 4runners steering wheel will fit, some says it doesn't. Has anyone done the swap? Are the controls the same? Will my oem airbag fit these steering wheels after bolted on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks TW

I have an 02 Tacoma and I put on a leather covered black 4-Runner steering wheel on mine truck a few years ago. The air bag plugs in and it works fine. The air bag is different and I had to get one off a 4-Runner (I bought just the steering wheel thinking the Tacoma air bag would fit). An interesting side note is that I was installing a factory cruise control at the same time. The 4-Runner wheel came with a cruise control switch that had 3 wires. With all the components I had collected for my truck, the cruise wouldn't work with the 4-Runner switch. Later I acquired a 2 wire switch from a Tacoma and the cruise worked fine. I think the 3rd wire was for a resume after going below 35 mph or even to a complete stop. The Tacoma didn't have this feature and would only work with the 2 wire and, of course, when going below 35 mph, you have to reset the cruise.
