Finally got it loaded up, but no pics of it out on the water. Maybe I'll remember to grab some next week...

If I were to upgrade today, I would probably get one of the pedal driven models they r just releasing. I saw the owner showing off the new ones on a fishing show last week.

Finally warm enough to try out my washdown setup. 8 gallons of pressurized water to knock off the salt and slime. Check it out:

    Tomorrow I’m going fishing!

Just bought His and Hers kayaks today; Tupelo for her, Tripper for me.

Bit of overhang off the bed, being 12' long each. Need to get a roof rack sorted out.

Running out of storage space here. Garage storage solutions?

    Two kayaks and a canoe.

Just buy a bed extender instead. Way cheaper, and easier to load/unload. Putting a kayak on a roof rack should be your last resort. I know, did it for years and still do when necessary.

The sling/pulley systems sold commonly work great, but you can also make a rack with PVC. Anything on the floor is obviously going to take floor space though, that’s why I like them on the ceiling. I have no problem lifting my fully rigged Hobie, at least 120 lbs.

I've used a bed extender with rental 14' tandem kayaks. I should explain, I'm really wanting to get them out of the bed, since they don't sit right and I have to run a strap through the handle of my tonneau to keep it from turning into a wing. I'd like to be able to close (and lock) the tonneau (gear storage) for transit, especially when going out of state (Buffalo River next week!). I'm still going to get a HF extender, because I can flip it around and use it to match the roof height.

My kayak is a 13.5' sit-on-top style...so I use a roof rack. I load it from the bed of the truck with the tonneau open and then push it forward across the rear rack to the front. There are little wheels on the rear saddle that helps it as I push it forward.

I’ve got a 15’ old town discovery canoe, great on lakes and rivers! I’ve added some gear tie-downs, but the modifications are minimal. Planning on a few weekend camping trips down the river by where I live this summer, any tips on camping from a canoe?

Welcome to Tacoma World, nice canoe. Plastic tubs work well to hold gear and keep your stuff dry from rain or water tight roll top bags. Soft sided cooler I like better then the plastic hard ones. Balance your load to trim the canoe in the water. You can travel light
if your going solo for a couple of nights. An extra paddle is insurance incase you brake or loose one. Otherwise same gear as for backpack camping although nice to have a fold up chair at the end of the day. Steve
