I really like my single cab. perfect commuter/town truck. The V6 is great on the highway.

I'd like a 4runner too and a 5 lug someday..but probably a supra first

 

Been binge'n on Roadkill lately and Dirt Every Day. Those guys have fun jobs. Can't wait for the day I have a shop to play in.

 

Look like rubber to me. The poly bushings were a day and night difference for me, also super easy to change with the rack out anyway.

 

I don't know what you've got in there, but Energy Suspension makes a black SKU of their bushings as well as red, so it could be that.

I have the black ones but that looks like weathered rubber, kinda makes sense too considering he took it to a dealership, they won't touch anything they don't absolutely have to.

 

Do a video of how much the rack moves from side to side when your turn the steering wheel.

 

Yeah, I hear you. I always ask for the old parts (for spares), to try to minimize that.

 

I'm not sure I'd waste the effort wrestling the rack and pounding the bushings in your case unless I was changing the rack to a new one as well. I have very positive driving feel after changing the bushings but I had the rack all the way out and also changed ITREs and OTREs at the same time.

 

Had a killer saturday. Ive been kind of sick all week. Still am with a very froggy throat. But I was sick of not working out, went to the gym and nearly died as...well..sick. But was happy I can still do ring muscle ups..

Came home. At a lunch/breakfast. Then Devin and I drove to Livingston and south to Gardiner and into Yellowstone. Drove all the way to Cooke City. Was absolutely gorgeous today. No clouds or wind. Say countless Bison and Elk. Few antelope, a sheep, 4 coyotes, 3 foxes(one was hunting), and 3 moose. Was super fun. Almost no one was there. We could literally stop in the middle of the highway to take photos with no worries, felt like we had the place to ourselves almost.

Have some photos for later but man. After this insanely snowy(new Stillwater County Year record by almost a foot) and very cold(three new records last month) it was great to be out side in the mid 40s with the sun blasting.

 

It's been nice here lately. I spent the day wrenching outside, swapping the front diff out of the parts truck and into the 4 door. Felt good to be outside in nice weather.

 

Pretty sure mine moved way more than that before I swapped out the OEM bushings.

Sorry to hear about being sick. I am just getting over the worst 'cold' I've had in several years. It has been two full weeks and still not quite past it. Sucks.

 

You know you need a new rack anyways. I’d just replace it with the better bushings in the new rack.

Nice! one step closer to 4wd. Im gonna wash the trucks today and tear the front off of Igor.

My throat is super froggy. But over all isn't too bad..but been a week now and not showing signs of getting better.

im guess you never checked the clutch did you?

 

That's quite a bit of movement for ideal conditions like slick floor and full tires.

 

You can jump it on with 12v to it's only wire that runs out the top. It should click and you should then be able to turn the whole compressor rotor instead of just the pulley.
