so that little dip in the glass is supposed to help limit the blind spot in the front corner and it works better with the tow mirrors. Honestly you really notice it when the truck sits higher up then it does stock haha

since the f150 and super duty share the same cab they have to share the doors and you really notice the benefit of it on the super duty. I also like it when you rest your arm there (depending how close you have the seat) its actually kind of comfortable to

yeah and when you think about it that's pretty good for a custom order truck that's exactly how you want it. plus it is more capable, better options, etc etc then the taco. end of the day as long as it fits you and what you want that's all that matters

I love the looks of that step down thing. It was on the super duty trucks first. When you drive one it becomes immediately obvious as to why they did it. The visibility is definitely better than competitors.

The last generation Silverados had no cluster indication of 4WD on the dash, which I thought was the stupidest thing. Must be something they fixed in the newer ones.

Mine is actually an extended cab. I think a crew cab is about $1500 more. For someone without kids, I'd rather have the bed space than the cab space, and a crew/6.5' truck is way too big.

the cab is the same on the super duty and f150 now that's why its on there now. It does help a lot with visibility have to say

Never realized that. Makes sense though. Those things feel enormous at this point. I actually prefer the size of the older half tons or my Tacoma, but I just couldn't justify another one when I could get a much more capable truck with the same or better fuel economy for about the same price.

Definitely helps with less of a blind spot off the front quarter, behind the mirror, since they can mount it lower on the door thanks to the dip. Probably doesn't make much of a difference if you're a tall guy, but it helps short little bastards like me. :D

Agreed. I'm looking seriously at stepping into a 3/4 ton so I can get into a good-sized V plow, but am hesitant because the new 3/4 tons are all so goddamn huge. I've said it before, but I honestly believe that if one of the big 3 made a truck that was sized like and could work like their trucks from the 70's & 80's but with modern tech that they'd sell like crazy. I mean, what the hell is the point in a truck with a 3000lb payload if you can't even reach over the bed rail without a stepladder?

I'm only about 5'9" and I noticed it right away.

The truck feels huge in comparison to my Tacoma, but I'm pretty sure visibility is better.

yeah so when f150 went aluminum they were already planning it for the super duty so they had to tool up all the stamping factories the same so they decided to match the f150 to the super duty. It kind of sucks since they now are the same physical size and city maneuvering sucks, but highway cruising and being able to actually cram 5 adults in there is nice

    Guess I won't complain.

Never liked the looks of the F150 until the current generation, but I've always though Super Duties looked awesome. Makes sense that I like the F150 now since it matches.

The new Super Duty trucks are HUGE. Definitely not the same size as the F150's.

I think all the full-size trucks are bigger in general. I saw a midsize Canyon the other day and it looked very close to a fullsize truck. I am sure the capacities are lower but still physically close to older full-size trucks

I guess it is the same as when the Tacoma blew up and took over the Tundra size and Tundra went fullsize

Yeah, that's one thing I liked about the GMC, it's got real, although small rear doors and a full 6'-6" box and isn't stupid long. I don't have kids either but I'm really enjoying having actual doors and not the suicide doors that my access cab had. And my longer track snowmobile fits nice in the bed!

I liked the flat floor of the Ford. I think it'll actually be more useful to me than if I had a B pillar and a hump to deal with.

See and I hate the mini rear doors that the GM's have because it's impossible to get anything wider than the door into the back. With the clamshell AC style doors you can get stuff that's considerably larger/bulkier in the back seat.

Probably the Elevation Package. It's got the blacked out 20" wheels? My buddy also bought that one.
