Hurry up so i can pick your brain about all the beating cussing and cutting. I've done the cmc and pinch weld. I have heard some stories about beating the firewall to the point of leaking into the cab. Hoping to avoid that. :fingerscrossed:

Hey - thanks VDOT for putting down a nice layer of briny crap on the roads yesterday. JFC, these guys get a 10% chance of a 10% chance of snow and it's a 100% certainty they'll be laying down a coating of rust accelerator on the roads.

    :annoyed:

Standard protocol. I was on 95S yesterday and there was a big tractor trailer laying down that crap right next to me. The northern states probably laugh at us.

I was stopped at a red light a few weeks ago and one of those trucks was in the middle lane at the stop light with the rear propeller on spray every vehicle around him with that shit. What an effing moron.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
They are still over-compensating for that one time a few years back when they really screwed the pooch by doing nothing...

Yea, they close it for the first 3 to 4 months of the year. Right after hunting season and I am assuming they figure that is the worst time for bad weather.

OK, not Tacoma related but I need to show off the work my brother's been doing at his shop in CA. It was his shop that did all the work on my 2003 Taco (full frame off resto).

He bought this 2003 Chinook RV for $24K w/ 100K miles on it - V10 gas engine. He then picked up a 2005 E350 based 6.0L Turbo Diesel ambulance that had been converted 4WD - it only had 12K miles on it.

He then went through the process of transferring the Chinook's camper portion to the ambulance frame / engine / cab.

    IMG_4093.jpg

Next he had Bullet Proof Diesel do a complete work over on the engine. Lots of custom work on the outside including a new front clip from a 2016 E350, lots of custom body work, custom fab rear bumper and swing out. This thing is going to be incredible once complete. How it looks right now:

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
They did this in Uwari last week. They keep it closed during the freeze thaw cycle to prevent tons of damaged to trails.

I've been known to hang out there a bit:spy:
Most of my favorite places are either north south or west of charlottesville. I wish I could find work out that way. I have a great job but Prince George area kinda blows. O well the hunting is great.
