I saw ur truck here about a month ago and thought I had a friend here. ive only been able to find 1 4runner that lives up in Greene. oh well im all alone.

 

I have the exact same bag. Bought it last year. I never had it below 30 degrees yet but it was plenty warm at 30. The shell is slicker than eel shit and good luck getting it to fit into the sac it comes in. Pretty good bag other than than. I would buy it again and for the price it's great. Fits 2 adults comfy.

Edit: mines the grey one and was only 99$ at the time. If that canvas is textured that may be really nice but not sure if its worth the extra $

I have a Coleman 0 degree. Definitely wasn't working at 6 degrees.

Leave it in the RTT, never have to try to fit it in the bag

 

im getting the 20+ I normally don't get cold.

For truck camping the more room the better. Personally I use one of these:

Advantages: You can stand in it, it's cavernous for 2-3 people, you can easily store any gear you want inside it, etc.
Disadvantage: Takes a little while to set up

When I truck camp I bring a cot; much easier to sleep on. For you guys (and gals) that can talk your SO to go (my wife's idea of camping is a Holiday Inn), then being able to toss a queen size air mattress in it and still have plenty of room for other stuff is WAY worth it.

Yeah I was looking at getting an inflatable queen mattress (for some reason they are half the price of the full sized mattress) and the tent you linked would give me alot more room. I'll get an RTT at some point though.

Oh that's coming eventually. I'd like to checkout what everyone local has and what they like/dislike about theirs.

 

As I've gotten older I get cold much more easily in my hands and feet. When I camp or backpack I always bring at least a few pairs of the

$6 HotHands Hand Warmers, 10 count (5 pack with 2 warmers per pack)

Hot Hands disposable hand warmers. Just open a pair and toss them into the bottom of the bag when you go to sleep. Works wonders on super cold nights.
