I have a 2015 double cab short box off road with stock suspension with the exception of the air bags that I added to compensate for my topper and when pulling a trailer. I have just over 60k miles on it. I don't really want to lift it to maintain mpg as I drive a lot on the highways.

As it sits right now I have to add more and more air pressure to maintain the same level ride height in the rear and I think my rear shocks are basically gone. The front is stock but is and has always been mushy in the corners and when braking.

I basically want to maintain stock ride height or don't really care about a lift but want to stiffen up the front and am willing to gain some height to do that if needed. The rear needs to be beefed up by either an aal, or all new springs and I'm not sure what way to go here but the overall rear height should have a little rake in it without the help of the air bags.

So I'm looking at new front shocks/springs, rear shocks, and the best way to beef up the rear springs to match the front. It looks like the 5100's are the most practical way to go unless you can convince me that I'm going to get and AWESOME ride out of the FOX shocks or compatible.

My Fox's made my Tacoma ride so smooth. :burnrubber::thumbsup:Way better than any stock Tacoma I've owned.

Im in the same boat... 55k on stock suspension and tow a pretty large boat regularly. I also have an ARE cap and typically travel with plenty of gear- and run airbags - we do plenty of off highway running, sans boat, but nothing too extreme. I'd love to improve the ride a bit, but it still has to be road functional. A slight lift is fine but im not looking to clear 33s....following...

I’ve really liked my Bilstein 6112s (front) and 5160s (rear) so far.
I’m doing way less actual off-roading than planned, so mainly on road driving but I don’t regret them at all. The ride is very nice.

If I had to do it over again I would probably just set the fronts to the 1st setting (approx. .85” lift) and just install the 5160s to save time and money.
I currently have the fronts on the 3rd setting with Light Racing UCAs, and an Icon AAL in the rear.

I do like the way it looks with the approx. 1.75” lift all around so not really disappointed though.
