an 8 stack on rebound is not enough IMO. I would have tried a 10 stack at minimum.

Forgot to mention they were smoothies...
I talked to a friend at LSK and he said try a mostly .012 compression and keep the .008 rebound. I guess with bypasses you would valve stiffer since you can bypass the oil?

I just got my order of the .012 stack and will try and put them in tomorrow sometime hopefully.

A .008" for Rebound not compression , you need the all the help from the shocks you can get , leaf packs don't rebound fast. Or the rear will pack up.

Not many leaf sprung trucks if any need 2.5 bumps out back. He already has 2.0 no need to change.

Bump stops are now 2" travel!!!!!
Also revalved the rear shocks with the .012 stack!
I'm going to buy another gallon and rebuild my front coilovers and rear shocks with fresh oil. It's been 2 years and I daily drive my truck.

The 2 set screws on the bumps chewed up the threads so the cap wouldn't come off... I had to stick a pick in the set screw hole and chip away at the threads in order to spin it off. I kinda scraped up the black paint, but I'll repaint it if they don't need adjustment.

It was a good day, learned alot and got everything I wanted to get done. A added bonus the needle for the nitrogen recharge came for my girlfriends Icons. I dropped the PSI in her coilovers from 200 to 150. Just waiting on the stock Icon shims to revalve them. The previous owner had a 180lbs up front and had them valve for the weight my girlfriend has no added weight.

I stopped at Barstow on the way back from The Mint 400 and tested my new valving real quick.
It has basically a .012 stack in there on compression.

    Compression Valving
    [----Piston----]
    ------------.012
    ----------.012
    ----.010
    -------.012
    ----.012
    ---0.12

I'm happy with it. I also ordered an AAL for the DMZ pack. Just waiting for them call me so I can pick it up and I'll toss it in.

Are you talking about the small allen head bolts / set screws in the top of the bumps?

No it's the allens that hold on the dust cover cap on where the snap ring is to take the bumps apart.

Interesting - I have some lined up against kings and kings actually use a smaller set screw. Bad luck I guess.

Hey y’all, reviving an old thread here. Rebuilding my Kings for the first time, I emailed king and they told me I should have a stack of .020 with a .012 flutter. Running hella stiff so I ordered a .015 stack with a .008 flutter.

Should I put my flutter 1 or 2 shims down from the piston?

Also, looking at this picture, is that a rate plate at the bottom of the compression stack or just some sort of spacer?
