I bought a truck toolbox for my Regular Cab S-10 today.

It got me to thinking are tool boxes slowly becoming a thing of the past with Crew Cabs having taken over with a place to keep stuff and all of the storage they put in them.

I have a tonneau on my Taco and throw all the stuff in there but curious to hear others opinions on this.

^That's the beauty of having a pickup, you have many options and can change to suit your needs: toolbox, swing-out cases, tonneau, cap, bed divider...

I run a Honda Pilot cargo organizer under the tonneau, tied to the D-rings with plastic snap latches.

I'm surprised you kept the S10 in running condition all these years.

My S-10 was problem free until 104,xxx miles. It's a 2003 with the 4.3. I inherited it with 26k on it and it was my first car when I got my license in 2009. When it hit 104k in January 2014 Thats when I was noticing that I kept having to put Antifreeze in it and it needed a head gasket replacement thanks to dex cool eating them, new water pump, and belts. It hit 100000 in 2014, Then around 125000 it got a driver side rebuild in the front end. Around 130000 a new radiator. Then at 144k a fuel pump then at 150k another water pump and most recently a new u joint and front brakes.

^Cool. Have you had problems with the manifold air injection pump yet? It's similar to the one used in 2012-2015 Tacos, but mounted on the bottom of the frame to suck in water...
