It just says Used on the site. it's a Ford dealership too so doubt they provide any CPO warranty for it

You could always get one, but I agree with the advice to save your money. People don’t sell warrantys because they lose them money. It’s almost always wasted cash.

    Wrong....

Correct! 13' also had a better improved smog pump then the 12'. Also only time the 12' had a touch screen is if you got the Nav/JBL setup, it wasn't standard.

15' lost the clock and added the word Tacoma in its place. That's the only difference between it and the 14'

When I bought my truck last year, I started hearing knocking in my engine. This would happen on an incline, giving slight throttle, in a higher gear. I searched this forum for others with the same issue and found I wasn't the only one and that there had been a TSB to update the programming. The programming, however, did not apply to the 2015's (only 2012 to 2014's). I had assumed at this time that the 2015's already had the updated programming, but then I started reading that people with the 2015's also had a knocking issue and that the former TSB didn't apply to their year Tacoma. I don't think I saw any resolution to this.
    See this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2015-v6-spark-knock-pinging.447662/

Since owning a 2017 Tacoma (sold it), I don't assume that TSB's are automatically applied or are applicable to the next year. Even if applicable, I would recommend owners doing their homework in the issued TSB's to check if it was performed (IF there's an issue).

How is the 2nd gen at speeds around 75mph? Speed limit on road to work is 75 and was wondering how Tacos do up in that range

    Fine.

Lousy MPG, but no other ill effects.

Just keep looking... I like the updated version of the 2nd gen with the touchscreen and front facia change. However, a Tacoma is always a beautiful thing, hard to go wrong. Just look for some of the commodities you want, or price what it'll cost to change. Tacoma World is great for MOD ideas.
