I finally got around to ordering tires to go on the trd pro wheels I got a while back. Tires arrived Monday and got it all installed today. Very happy with the results - Falken AT3W 265/70/16

Couple from a recent trip to Death Valley where we realized we need suspension sooner than we thought we would. So today I made a trip to @HeadStrong Off-Road and yes Marie does exist, and yes she's awesome in person. Ridiculously helpful in getting something just right for our needs. Happy to support such a great business and resource for this community.

What size tires are those. They look beef!

 

Curious why you didn't go with a 265/75/16 or bigger ?

 

Running the 70 right now mostly because I wanted to see if I liked the tire and what impact it had on fuel economy. Once this set is worn out, I plan on going to the 75s.

I also still have 3 stock wranglers leftover after I put a huge hole in the 4th one. I’m going to be putting those on a trailer and with the 70 everything is the same size since that’s what those are. Then I can buy 8 tires in 75 and match everything plus 2 spares (one on truck and trailer). Didn’t wanna buy 8 yet since I’ve already got 3 good tires for the trailer and in the odd chance I hated them for some reason I’d be stuck with 8 of them.

Changed out the grill last weekend.

This past weekend finally install my lift..Needing to get Wheels and Tires soon..as for now it looks like ive skipped leg day lol

Looks good. I have that same kit waiting for me at home right now, along with Sr8 16's and 265/75/16 wildpeaks. I wanted 285's but I just jumped on the DTD ebay deal and scored 5 of those tires for $600 shipped. couldn't beat that, as I could always go to 285s down the road.

Did you do the ECGS clamshell bushing install? Any vibrations? I am debating on ordering that thing too.

 

Nice. Nope didnt do it. no vibrations or anything ride quality still feels good.

 

Heck yeah man- that's great news. I think I am going to skip the bushing install until I need it. Make sure you post pics when you get the new shoes put on.
