Hate the sport wheels but this makes it somewhat better. Still not a fan. But until I want to buy wheels and tires this will do.

My truck didn't come with the flares, so I painted them before I put them on.

Did you use the glosifier on your wheels?

I think they look good, but if you don't like the fact that they shine. They sell a satin glosifier that doesn't have that much shine. I was going to use it, but couldn't find any locally. Going to order some to test and see how it looks.

Here’s 1 can of plasti-dip and 2 hours of my life...

The real question; what will it look like in a year or two?

How many coats did you get with the 1 can? I've had mine done about a year and looks great. I did do 5 coats of dip and 2 glossifier.

I live in North Idaho so made it threw winter of crap tossed up on my grill. Stuff holds up good.

Also did my wheels and screwed up on them and while they're starting to come up in few areas hard to tell unless you looking for it.

    I'm working on it!!!
Thinking about dipping my badges and maybe fender flares, how well does the dip hold up over time?

It's actually really durable. However if you do your flares just take extra caution when gassing up as gas will ruin it.

What’s the best method on wheels? Remove or just tape?

I did it with wheels on. It was a pain. I'd do it wheels off. I will do that next time I do mine.

Did mine on the truck. I don't think that removing would really save any work. Only took a few minutes to prep on the truck. Cleaning the rims took more time than taping. If I do it again I will use the playing/index card trick to limit the OS on the tire.

For those of us that live in salt country.... I wonder if the plasti-dip coating wouldn't also help against salt corrosion of the Al wheels ....In addition to the new darkened look. Just sold my AC '07 replacing it w the DC '18 and two of the '07 OEM SR5 wheels had a fair amount of salt corrosion even though I waxed them w each Fall's body winter prep wax job. Just thinking.....

    I'm working on it!!!
Okay guys, how many cans would I need for the tacoma badges on the sides, all four fender flares and the front lower bumper portion? I'm thinking like 5-6 maybe?

Also, tape it all off or just pull them off and put them back on?
