Sounds good. Mainly curious how people are connecting the Bussmann to the accessories. I've seen some threads that attach plugs to the end for easy disconnect. Is this how you will wire it?

Nah, I'm going to just solder the leads together or use the crimps that come with the RTMR, and a bus bar for the grounds. Plugs are fine, but I don't see the point if you are not removing or moving whatever is wired around often.

You can just pull the fuse for that as well.

Amazing write up! I’ll absolutely be using this for my Tacoma. I use to use the blue sea fuse box, but this Bussmann option looks much more professional and clean. Nice work!

Quick (hopefully) question. I’m about to connect my rigid back up lights. Most of the wiring is straight forward. Any ideas what to tap into and where for auto on with reverse lights? Is there a wire to tap into in the cabin to tell the lights to turn on when in reverse?

I hope the answer you are looking for is here. I would use it to activate a relay to turn on the lights when your backing gear is on. In my case I used this tutorial to have my stereo head unit to display the backup camera image.

I'd use the factory backup light/tow circuit

Perhaps I should have checked my sources before, the last link is only for the video. I did my stereo install almost 6 years ago... but now I just remembered I found the actual backing wire on this website.

Alright guys, I need some help. I installed my completed Bussmann setup today and attached some Baja Designs fog lights and my existing CB power to it. Everything went well except now I'm getting some weird problems. My ABS and traction control light came on after about 30 minutes of driving. I didn't hit any buttons or switches, they just came on. When I shut my truck off, they went away but I haven't driven anywhere to see if they would come back on. Also, my Ultagauge went dark and just says "Scanning". Could this be a battery connection issue? I checked it and the terminals are on tight so I'm not sure what it could be. I did disconnect the battery before doing any major connections so that's why I thought that may be the issue. If anyone has any input, I'd appreciate it!

Not sure about the abs and traction lights, but whenever the Ultra Gauge looses power it will do that. Just press one of the buttons, and it will scan and go back to normal.

I tried pressing the buttons yesterday and again today with and still have the same screen. Is there some magic combination I have to do?

Not with mine. Whenever the battery gets disconnected or it gets unplugged, I just hit the up or down button and it scans and starts working. Maybe unplug it and plug it back in with the truck off. Then start it back up. I've got an older EM model, so maybe there's something different with the newer model.

That was my next thought, I’ll have to try it once I have some free time. Thinking I may have to do the pin jump as well for the VSC/ABS light so I’d have to unplug it anyway.
