AT vs All Season help on new tires

    I live in southern N.H. Drive about 15k a year, mostly city and highway. Very little off roading has been the case. I’m hoping to maybe do some light off roading like going camping or some dirt paths maybe.

    Wondering if I should go with All Season or AT?
    Read good things about Falken AT3W, and the Michelin Defenders.

    I’m not sure what Michelin model defenders were suggested.

    I was thinking of the General Grabbers AT2s, but they only come in 10ply, anc I cant see it makes sense to haul that extra weight around?

    I think no matter what I’d go up from the stock 265/70/R16 to the 265/75/R16, good or bad idea?

    I have a 2013 double cab with TRD Off Road package

    Take a look at the General Grabber APT. I ordered some today. Looks like a pretty good tire for people that drive 90% highway.

    I have Michelin MS2 with 50,000 mile on them. Great highway tire, great gas mileage and wet handling. There are fine for fire roads and light off roading. They suck in mud. I'm strongly considering the Wildpeak AT3 also. I'm such a gas mileage fanatic, I dread losing the 2.5 to 3mpg you suffer with a 40 plus pound tire. This mileage loss is confirmed and 100% real and accurate.
