Factory installed seat soaker mod!

All this heavy rain in VA has activated my factory installed rear seat soaker mod... Just hit 10,000 miles and this is my first warranty repair. I’ll let you guys know if I run into any issues. The sweet loaner they gave me makes it all ok.

 

I didn't realize people were having this problem with access cabs. Sorry to hear that. Or is the photo your loaner?

 

I don't think he has an Access Cab because it says OR Manual Trans in his description.

Much better... mine cracked and leaks.... have replacement in hand. Going to DIY cause I "think" I cracked my 3rd brake light with a kayak... not positive tho. There's a seam split on the rubber gasket that lets water in.

 

Dealer confirmed it was the third brake light. All repairs and loaner truck are covered no issues at all. Including have to work with my LeerXR in the way.

 

Update. Apparently it’s deeper than the brake light. They believe the cab itself is warped and may need to be replaced...

 

That escalated quickly.

Wonder if the Cab Mounts are bad and putting the Cab in a bind.

Got to admit at least it's Toyota coming up with an answer of something is actually bad, rather than just saying that it's "normal".
Looks like he has a good dealer to work with.

 

They have been good to me. Sell me parts at invoice $590 for my TRD exhaust the local cap shop fried a computer installing my Leer Shell, they fixed it, at the shops expense of course. And now are doing all they can to make my leak right, not just some appoxy it and send me away. It’s a pain in the butt however I know others have bigger struggles.

 

Glad to hear they are taking care of you. From loaner looks like you are dealing with Priority Toyota. I bought from one of their dealerships and have had good experience with them thus far.

I just took mine in today for service and noticed the passenger side rear window near the roof was leaking

 

Wait a second here guys. You mean not everyone was paranoid about their truck like me?

And say sealed up the license plate lights, 3rd brake light and rear cabin vents with black RTV silicone within a month of owning the truck.

$40000 truck and I had to silicone the shit out of it to trust it fully.

I wouldn't trade it for anything but that being said I know the implications. Look at my list of mods, I finally have the truck I hoped for.
