I wouldn't know where to start with a custom pack. From what I don't know, it seems that something beefier in the back would be best and somehow keep it lvl w/ the front all the while having quality equipment...?

You might look into airbags like the firestone riderites. They supplement your rear leaf pack for additional weight. Maybe pair the airbags with Dakars. There's probably a thread here somewhere on that or a member that could steer you a little better, I don't have any experience with them.. Just a thought.

Does anyone hear have this kit with 884s, billies, and Dakar medium duty. I am specifically looking for a DCSB with a camper shell on. I am wondering how much rake it ends up with.

I thought Dakars with the extra leaf were intended for this sort of thing. Is that not the case? Do you have to supplement it with airbags?

His list of what he wants in the back is long. When people start talking about drawers I assume they'll be filled with tools not feathers. All that weight adds up.

I've been looking at BP-51's and am curious if anyone knows much about the spring rate on the front coilovers. Right now I'm looking at getting them for a summer trip, but I currently don't have any extra weight up front. Obviously with other coilovers you change the spring rate to accommodate for the weight up front, but it appears the BP-51's come pre-assembled. Do you accommodate the front rate with the adjustability of the rebound and compression?

The with the extra leaf Headstrong says they're rated for a constant load of 660# I figured that would be sufficient but you're right, it's a long list. I think I underestimated the weight.

got dakars with a shell, since I plan on a rear bumper later I will add a leaf for that install. If you dont plan on a rear bumper, the standard dakars are great!

I want to get 886x heavy coils, 90000 firm strut, and heavy dakar leaf pack. Should I get different upper control arms? Will tire alignment be a problem if I don't get the UCA's?

Do you have any extra weight up front? If you're stock 886 paired with the 90000 struts are going to be super stiff. I would go ahead and get UCA's. It's $400 insurance.

Full Plate bumper and winch up front. High clearance rear and bed mounted bed rack in the rear. Going to be adding full skids as well.

Look around some more for opinions on the 90000s. OME suggests the 90000 and 886 combo but some people complain about it being too stiff. I have a steel bumper and winch and went with the 90021s and have been happy with them both on and off road.

I would go with new UCAs and go with the setup you are considering. Im in an access cab with 887s on 90000 struts. I plan on adding more skids to my winch and arb up front and feel im gonna loose some lift upfront with the skids upfront. Ive got dakars in the rear with my truck cap on and I'm sitting level. Dont mind a little bit of rake but will probably loose rear lift when I add my plate bumper w/swingout. Shouldve gone with the HD leaf pack at first but its a learning experience!

Did you run this suspension set up before your plate bumper? If so, how was the ride before the added weight?
Also, do you have hub to fender measurements on the front?
This is the combo that I want, but it seems like OME suggests 886 with the firm ride struts, not sure why.

Hard to tell really. It was firmer than stock and it's softened up since adding the bumper but I only had the suspension for a couple weeks before adding the bumper so it was going to be stiff regardless.

I do not have any measurements. If I remember I can take it tonight. Best I can offer now is a before/after pic before the bumper was added

Okay, I give up. After looking through 34 pages of this thread and probably as many searches only to come back to the same pages that don't really tell me what I need to know. I'm just going to ask.

I have some 620lb springs from Toytech (P/N: A/N 112-620). Since installation, I have lost a lot of lift due to the steel bumper and winch. I am considering the OME 886s to compensate for the added weight.

Are the 112-620s from Toytech interchangeable with the 886s? That is, can I just buy the 886s springs and swap them out without any other parts/spacers/etc?

Below are the specs from headstrong offroad, the 886 should bring you back based on the 660lb spring rate compared to your 620lb spring. with your after market UCAs you should be good but not sure if the 886 can go on the toytec strut?

Yeah, that's what I'm having trouble confirming before I pull the trigger; whether the 886 will fit on Toytech strut. I may just end up giving OME or Toytech a call. I'm sure they'll try to sell me a whole new assembly though. Thanks man.

Toytec would probably be best to call, would think someone has asked or tried that. OME (ARB) would try to get you on a 90000 strut maybe which could be an option for you
