Theres one here that is a competition. If you use your range finder you are out and its just a fun shoot ;) So needless to say we just use a range finder and have fun ;)

best thing to do is find a bow shop near you and shoot one, what one person may like another may not. We have a Parker crossbow that is great, but I dont know how the compound bow stacks up.

Parker has been around for awhile so I think there quality is good and the price looks great compared to Mathews,Hoyt and others. For me it’s like @wilcam47 said,it’s all how it feels in your hands...

Parker makes great bows, but as others have said, I wouldn't buy sight unseen. Shoot one first.

The more casual competitions here have two divisions in each age/sex group. One is "known distance" where you can use a rangefinder and one is unknown.

I have been practicing without knowing the distances, and I have lost a few arrows...

I know those carbon express aren't cheap either haha.

I will shoot for the same spot past 20 yards. I am not a good enough shot to robin hood outside of that!

I shot my Bear Element for 8 years and just picked up an Arena 34 at the end of 2017. I loved and still do love that Element, but man, what a difference! This Arena is redonkulous. Super smooth, super quiet and super fast. My buddy who has only shot Matthews and currently has a Z7 is even pretty jealous - no offense @Z7Xtreme !

im addicted to Fred bear for the price points. hard to beat a bow that is sub 600$ and shoots like mine. not to mention the countless beatings that its taken on hunting trips.
