Good, you have a wide varity of velocity represented.. some semi autos don't like the slow stuff.

The Lapua PB is a bit hotter than the rest, but it's designed for cold performance... so warmer ambient is going to push the velocity up and very close to trans/super sonic, so keep that in mind. Your POA and POI will likely shift. Maybe some grouping issues too. It's good ammo, but when temps climb and it density drops, it gets less consistent. When temps get to 50-60F I switch to the Midas plus as a rule.

Good luck. Report your findings in the .22 thread.

Yeah I had planned to receive it yesterday so I could try it this morning. It was around 31 degrees.I didn’t get to go shooting anyway. Looks like I might save it until next year. I already have some Center X.
This rifle likes Federal Auto Match oddly enough and Eley Match of course.

I have a bad issue with the Eley and Remington match. Get about 2-3 flyers per box in all but my 40x... she'll eat anything. It's almost as bad as Wolf Extra Match. Super consistent till the random one on a box... and she's off the map.

The Anguilla rifle match shoots like a dream in my Kimber, but the 40xb-hb can't shoot it for crap. Still have a half a brick. Should be gone the first day I take the Kimber out.

That's why I tried the Lapua Midas and Midas plus... shoots like a dream in everything I have. Haven't really strayed in a few years... they won me over.

What's your opinion on Eley Bolt action ammo (red box)?
I've gone through several bricks and it's awesome in my Marlin XT-22Z with a suppressor, haven't had any failures so far and I haven't noticed any inconsistencies in accuracy but I mainly shoot steel with it.

Redbox? You mean tenex? That is good stuff but pricy. For my ability, there are no noticeable changes in performance to justify switching ammo.

When I got both 40x's and the Kimber, i bought a box of just about anything with "match" on the box. Then fired 5-shot groups at 100yrd, then let the rifles cool, then again and again for 5 groups of each type of ammo. Every group had its own target (1" square). Picked the one that was most consistent for the lot.

I rarely shoot my 40x anymore and selling the 40xb to a friend. When I shoot rimfire, which is a lot, I seem to always grab my Kimber.

The .22s are fun and really force you to take your time when shooting past 100yrd. My club has a 200yrd line I use for practice. The winds are quite variable, so it takes work with such a slow round. The local CMP club has an annual and unofficial mini-Palma match I need to try one of these days.

CMMG .22 conversion kit came in for my AR today. Last thing I bought on r/gundeals before it got banned.

I shot a friends a couple weeks ago which is why I picked this up. I’m taking it out Saturday to see what kind of ammo it likes and I’ll report back.

I wasn't thinking when I was typing, meant Geco instead of Eley.

I've shot my .22 to 100 yards quite a bit but never past (don't have a range with that capability yet), I'm excited to try it when I can.

Reddit has stopped allowing posting and trading of a lot of regulated items. Beer/Tobacco/Drugs (duh on that one)/Firearms and related stuff. All to combat illegal sales/trades.

Has nothing to do with the actual conversion kit purchased or a proposed OR initiative

And shoulder things that go up.
The Reddit thing is just like Youtube. They are slowly putting the screws on gun owners and any content relating to guns. Youtube and Reddit are blocking the posting of links to legitimate legal websites that sell firearm accessories or simply instructions on using things that could be construed as "making a gun" Like sighting in a scope.
This reminds me, I need to buy a heat shield for my Mossberg shockwave.

Yeah I guess that wasn't clear... r/gundeals had saved me hundreds of dollars over the last two years. It also made me spend hundreds of dollars :D
