Just wanted to know if you need to get a 4 wheel alignment after adding a 1” block lift to the rear. I had the rough country 2” spacers installed up front and it actually raised the front end 2 3/4” so i wanted to level it out a little more .

Thanks. Appreciate the quick response. I just got the front end aligned after the spacers being installed for the front lift. Was gonna kick myself for not doing everything at once. Thanks.

Lifting / changing the rear will knock out your front caster, so if that’s important to you, then yes you need alignment, not 4 wheel, just front caster. 2” spacer in the rear probably won’t effect it much, and you’ll probably never notice, but if the steering doesn’t feel as “planted” at highway speeds as it did before, then it’s your caster.

I went through exactly what you are going through. Rear alignment was not needed

Thank you. I was kicking myself for not getting both done at the same time. I’ll post pics when it’s done.

I installed my rough country spacers last week and I have decided to do add rear blocks to the back but I don't know how big of blocks I should put, I am thinking of 1" block. How did yours come out?

I think I’m gonna wait until I get some 32’s to see how much clearance the rear fender wells have. Here is before and after.

Yeah I went with 2" Spacers. My truck stands exactly the same as yours right now but I want to keep the factory rake so I am hoping 1" will do it but i am debating between the 1" or 1.5" right now.

I think the 1” blocks should make it level. 1 1/2” might have rear setting a little higher than the front.

Adding a 1” block to the rear is only going to change the caster by about 1/2*. Which you aren’t really going to fix with an alignment. Spec range is way bigger than 1/2 a degree.

In other words, you definitely don’t need an alignment after adding a 1” block.

Cool. Thanks for the info. Hopefully I’ll get 32’s on it within the next week or so. Then I’ll decide whether or not to add the blocks.
