I also had trouble with the screw even after a few applications of WD40, with both a manual screw driver and an impact.. After those failed (screw still wasn’t completely stripped but it was getting close) I went with a socket wrench fitted with a PH3 bit and it worked. Next step would’ve been drilling it out and replacing with a new bolt but I’m good now!

If you have resistance I’d say try WD40 and a socket wrench to get it to back out enough to unscrew like normal. Worked for me! Gonna give it a real trial run tomorrow when I fill up. Stoked!

    Well shit...
I ordered another door(different part number than before) and It looks like another SB. If anyone can get me a part number for a 2nd Gen LB gas door that would be great.

It's amazing how much trouble you are going through to deliver these gassholes. Props and thank you Meso.

Both of mine are stamped "S". I can't find this "L" stamped door...like a damn unicorn. Maybe Toyota consolidated models and "S" is the only one available now?
Frustrating. If I can't find one..then it looks like Short Bed will be the only available option. :/
    Damn 2nd Gens!

I used cars/com to find 2Gen SB and LB VINs/examples and then used toyotapartsdeal/com to look up the equivalent "Fuel Door". Those are the only two part numbers returned for various models. :notsure:

The differently shaped one you can't find may be an aftermarket repair part.

Any suggestions on how to enlarge the hole to fit a locking gas cap?

Just stick it in the gasshole....that always works for me when I want to make a hole larger.

But for real a Dremel might work well with the sanding tip on a lower rpm level and take your time.
