Hey everyone, looking into getting a soft topper and for my 2015 dclb Prerunner and was wondering what some of you guys might be running and recommend to get.

Feedback would be great! Thanks! 29468914_10212764741206662_167160496527507456_o.jpg 29496211_10212764731086409_8049365614373896192_o.jpg

How does the soft topper do at keeping the sand and dirt out of the bed?

Same question about rain and moisture?

Just get some extra weather stripping to as they get worn and thin and for the extra gaps if you get a rack like how i did. Otherwise when i didn't have the rack it keeps it out pretty good. If you pressure wash it there is a gap by the rear bar that will get water in of you aim it there.

Softopper, led bed and hood lights, rigid ditch lights, blue sea fuse block, wet okoles, weather tech floor mats and window shades, and more...
I also have a Softopper. I love it. I bought it because I didn't like having the side windows like the Best Top. The only thing that I don't like is there is no way to fasten the flap closest to the rear window to the bed. At highway speeds this flaps into the bed of the truck and allows water into the bed. Just enough to trickle along the gussets at the bottom of the bed. I can still put suitcases in the bed without them getting wet.
Eventually, I'm going to rivet some Velcro strips to my bed and sew the other side into the cover to hold it.
It folds down and packs up for easy storage. It weighs about 30 lbs. I've had it for a year and its held up nicely.

To fasten the rear door I used Velcro and adhesive magnets to my tail gate and it works great!

    You only have three options:

    Softopper
    Bestop
    Canback

Canback are expensive compared to the BT and ST. I've enjoyed my Softopper alot, I preferred the roll-up sides vs the zip in Windows of the bestop.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I was thinking about the softopper for a while now and this just solidified my decision.

How's the softtopper hold up in the snow and deep winter?

Holds up good just gotta make sure you wipe off the snow everyday which isn't hard. And don't roll up the back window vinyl as it will crack in sub zero temps. Otherwise way better than my tonneau cover I had before

I love my Softopper. I had a Bestop before. The Softopper is much nicer.

My rear window cracked in the cold though. I was always careful with it. I certainly never rolled it in the cold.

I replaced it with the solid panel that Softopper sells.

That's good to know. I'll be moving to Fairbanks AK soon and have been in the air between a softtopper and an UnderCover...since the winters are constant sub zero, I'm leaning more towards the tonneau now

Also, if your rear window cracks, just repair with cool stickers and use that one for cold weather, then buy a new one for warm weather

I love my softopper. Bought it used on CL for half the price of brand new and it's been great. As others have said, you may need to add extra weather stripping to keep out dust or water. I don't get much dust but when it rains I do have some water intrusion at the two front bed corners. There are other threads on TW about softopper. A few members have used magnets to hold the rear panel against the tailgate. This is something I'm thinking of doing.
You will be happy with a softopper!20180225_124019.jpg

I use magnets on my tailgate. If you buy it new, it will come with Velcro, right? I bought mine used too.

My tailgate is textured. Velcro wouldn’t stick anyway, so I went with magnets.

Yeah I believe it does come with Velcro when ordered brand new. I'm not interested in sticking Velcro to the paint.
