Can you point me to the blanket that runs off USB for phones? Seems ultra-low power compared to what I'd expect. But very cool.

This is gonna sound weird, but after driving a 79 cruiser for most of last summer in alaska....I hate the mirrors on my tacoma. They are just huge round useless orbs attached to the door. I want to go from this
    CM11980_2016_Toyota_Tacoma_3_1000.jpg

    To this
    aa016156-oem-1991-96-ford-bronco-f150-250-350-450-black-right-door-side-view-mirror-dent.jpg
And just put some ditch light brackets where the mirror is now. What's yalls thoughts

My doors are so scratched I could care less, one has a huge long dent where I slid off a trail just south of prescott and down into some trees while snow wheeling. Just worried it will look too goofy

Have you thought about just replacing the glass in your mirrors? TrailToys makes a replacement set that is a big improvement over the stock glass even if you are April foolin!

something along the lines of this:
    https://www.amazon.com/Heated-Fleec...1522676423&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+heated+blanket

although if you look at the heated area vs the actual area, it seems small. I would do some digging to possibly find a larger heated footprint.

If I drove around a 79 LC all summer I imagine I'd hate just about everything about my Tacoma. =(

Ha, you’d hate having air conditioning? A rear axle that tracks the same wight as the front?

There's that. And the suspension flex. But I'd kill for that v8 diesel.

    A little a this, a little a that...
Modern desiels ain't all they're cracked up to be. They used to be great because they were so simple and reliable. Now, at least here in the states, they are way complicated to pass emissions regs and pretty finicky. One things for sure: the grass is always greener!

Uhh, it had air con, and it rode ok to me. It was a 1996 ute with the 4.2 diesel. It was at a mine. They imported them.

You drove a HZJ75 ute, not a 79 as you earlier stated, hence the confusion. I’ve got a HZJ77 with the same 1HZ engine.
