Movie/TV review or what have you seen lately?--- "Top 10" of all time?

I have to ask you if you had a chance to see Pacific Rim Uprising and if you did, what did you think of it?

 

Not yet. The lady and I are going Tuesday night for sushi and a movie date. I’m pretty excited

 

I would like your opinion of it after you see it. I won't give away any spoilers, all I will say is that I was leery of it going in being a sequel and living up to the first movie, but I have to say I really enjoyed the movie.

 

Just got home from a late showing. I liked it. Wasn't as good as the first but still enjoyed it. During the big battle the audio cut out for about 5min and then the picture went blank and we all thought it was busted then it sort of restarted back where the audio originally cut out. Was a bit of a hiccup but still got to see the whole movie so I guess I moot point lol. Would've been pissed if I hadn't used Movie Pass and tried to demand a free ticket or at least a giant popcorn

 

With fewer and fewer people going to theatres to see movies your experience doesn't help their case. I think they should have offered you at least a complimentary popcorn.

 

I had high hopes for the Black Panther with all the rave reviews but to me, the movie was stale/predictable and I kind of lost interest while watching.

 

Yeah I didn’t love that one as much as I thought I would.

Ragnarok is still hands down the best marvel movie

 

I did thoroughly enjoy Ragnarok but I think that has more to do with me being a fan of Taiki Waititi's movies. I look forward to the follow up to What We do in the Shadows.

 

Just saw that one recently and really enjoyed it. Been telling everyone to watch it

 

Ready Player One was

So many 80s and 90s pop culture references. Granted I was born in ‘88 I still recognized most of them

 

After Indiana Jones and the something about a Crystal Skull, I've been pretty skeptical of anything attached to Steven Spielberg. I think this might be something I try out if it's on TV or something.

 

The Shape Of Water was good but a bit strange strange !

 

So I've been watching The Resident and I LOVE it! It's another medical drama, sort of along the lines of House. It's a great show, I think 9 episodes so far and currently on a couple week break before the final 3 episodes of the season. Highly suggested if you enjoy medical dramas. Several decent actors in it as well.

 

People trashed the new Mummy movie but the wife and I watched it last night and enjoyed it. It didn't far exceed the Encino Mummy but I still liked it.

 

'Game Night' isn't the greatest movie, but with so many twists and turns and it not being the usual cookie cutter Hollywood assembly line "safe" production, makes it worth your time IMO. It's a fun ride that makes you wonder where it's going, with a good selection of actors that play off each other well.
