Headlight Lens

Im looking to retrofit my old headlights but the lenses are ridiculously sun baked and I was thinking instead of buying a whole new headlight that I could just replace the old lens with a new one since im just taking the old one out anyway. Anybody know where I can find just a headlight lens?

 

You can't buy just the lens. You have to buy a complete assembly

 

Buy one of those lens restore kits. I have used the turtle wax brand with good success. The "fix" lasts about a year, but $ 12 is very short money. The only suggestion I would make is to buy the type with both the abrasive and sealant.

 

Do what i did, grab a used set off ebay with mint lens and damaged housings for cheap. I ended up with a pair of OEM Sport smoked units for 120. I only needed the lens/bezels.

A few tips: Unless your lens is completely toasted, do not start with the coarsest grit. Use water in a spray bottle for each sanding step, and clean the lens thoroughly between steps. I used Maguire's polishing compound after the rubbing compound provided, then the clearcoat. The results have been amazing, both in clarity and longevity. If you use a good UV blocking wax on them at wash time, they should last for years. Mine are over a year now and look great.

 

Did you ever find a answer to replacing just the headlight lens...I know there are just lens and you can purchase the rear side called the headlight sub assembly

anybody put these together ? I have gen 1
