I'll be moving to Redding soon. I see this is a fairly old thread. Let's get it going again.

Nice! There’s a few of us active on these forums but we’ve only met up once so far. Didn’t even realize there was a Redding thread, good stuff!

I'm in Paradise. The company I work for has a shop in Anderson. I'm up there a lot. I'm a logger spend my summertime up in the woods usually near Chester area. Not a lot of good wheeling there just roads. Snow run would be great.
Let's pull off a meet and greet some time.
Doesn't matter where as I'm down for a drive.
On an other note, anyone here going to meet and greet in Santa rosa? I'm going to go down and meet some of these "Nor Cal" (really So Cal) guys. It's April 7th I'll go find the link.

Hey guys whats going on! Hadn't seen this thread at all until now. Like @dskakie said, there's a few of us around here. Him and I and one other guy have met up once and did a little snow wheeling recently. Looking for more ideas of where to go, so, lets get this thread started up again!

I got out the office today and drove down into Slate creek to the new bridge. I see patches of snow. This storm should melt the snow in most areas

My job allows me to see some cool things. That old rock stove was the toll spot records showed he made 30000 in tolls in which the price was 14 cents

That road and the more known one about four miles up the hill from there saw a lot of things I wish I had. Just once I'd like to hear stories of the people from the early days.

Have you been to the cemetery at portwine?

I am going Saturday. My wife is trying to not go but I see it as fun.
Where you coming from? As in are you going and if so do you want to caravan and start from someplace close?
I'm going down through highway 20 and going in through hidden valley and Calistoga. I'm leaving early and just cruising .

I lived in both places Redding and Chico.

I miss the shit out of Chico. I would move back to either in a heartbeat, but I remember that even in the good times a career level job was tough to find.

I'm a logger. I have about all the career I am going to get. I do however have shit tons of experience in under ground construction but logging takes the cake.
I'd rather be happy and enjoy my work then put up with the city.

That's slower but it's only about a two hour drive going slow. Maybe a bit more with weather.
I grew up in Oroville, or wait actually Wyandotte! I love the area but some of the people lately have screwed it up for me.
