Got my new fuel door today from @gunny1005 I'm very excited to start fixing that issue.



Also getting ready to install my new set of gauges.

 

Wow. Been a while coming for those gauges!

 

Yup. Nice update.

 

New gauge set up installed with @Torspd these gauges are good for the alert system built into it. Ill end up installing a trans temp and water temp as well.

 

Like a blue light saber. Cutting through the dark side. Love it!

Here's a video from a track day last year I recently uploaded. I didn't do well as I was unfamiliar with the new brake set up and the weak springs didnt give me the confidence I normally have. Also I lacked more sleep than a normal track day I hace had in the past. Still fun though.

 

Shoot man. Forgot to ziptie that loomed wire to the larger bundle. Need to next time you are down, or when you have some free time.

 

So I got some stainless washers to add clearance. Didnt zip tie the wires, ill leave that for you as I know you love the roadkill garage zip tie moment.




Also got my package of vacuum caps in 16mm. Very large yes but needed for the way the catch can is setup.

Also on the way is a radium competition catch can. My tacoma will get this old one from my 4runner.

Had a mini mod day, at my house, with my man @Lucario Runner . First time for me to personally check out the new-to-market CSF radiator. It is a thing of beauty. Construction and shiny.

While we were in there, we also took the time to swap in some new HPS Silicone radiator hoses, and a light weight pair of pulleys from Non Stop Tuning.


Thinking ahead, he ordered a couple of OEM idler pulleys, since those two were showing the age.



The Gates Racing belt still proved that it had a lot of life left in it, so it went back in.


Prior to dropping in the radiator, we swapped over the bushings from the factory one. Perfect tight fit. Quality machining there.



No pictures of the finished product. I'll leave that to Lucario Runner. Let's just say that everything bolted back up like OEM.

 

Radiator worked well on the trip home. Im looking forward to see how it performs on the track.

Your Cusco swaybar is it the one listed for the FJ? Have you ever looked into swapping your front coils for the MOOG 81108 FJ springs? 660 lb per in. I know you want to remain at stock height. They are labeled as having an inch more of free height. You could always cut the coil if you like the height.

 

Thank you for the kind words. Cusco sway bar is for the fj. I will keep it on for that jdm cred but I have ordered a rear adjustable sway bar from superpro. Front and rear superpro sway bars are adjustable. Coil wise I'm planning on using the king oem series with compression adjusters.

 

JDM cred I like that. The 4runner have the most JDM cred. Haha. That sounds like a great set up. Keep pressing on with RUV. When you did your valve body upgrade did you notice a big difference in shift firmness and responsiveness?

 

Yes it was a bit more aggressive to suite my needs.

 

Superpro rear sway bar and white line front sway endlinks arrived today.
