Awesome, we are going to Ocala NF this month and will discuss if april is still a possibility or not. Work is starting me on a new shift rotation and I dont know how it will work out and I wont know until mid March or early April. If we dont go to MOAB in April then it will be pushed to Sugust/September/October time frame and we will do the outer banks in April.

As of right now it is happening this fall but there is not a hard date yet. Some of the members that were going to join had some stuff come up (one is having a baby and the other was hit by hard financial times).

I used to live in Colorado Springs (well...Fort Carson) and I drove back to Chattanooga pretty often to visit my family. The I70 route was much worse to me. Kansas is the state that never ends. I'd always go I40 to Trinidad, CO. You pass an extinct cinder cone volcano (Capulin, NM), so its automatically better than Kansas.

Another route to get to Moab is to go north from Trinidad until Walsenburg then jump on 160. Its the most beautiful part of Colorado in my opinion. You pass the Great Sand Dunes and see some nice 14ers too. Also the Pagosa Springs area is cool and "Wolf Creek Pass" on that route. The San Juans are absolutely amazing mountains. It's the way I'm going when I go back for a Moab trip.

Downloading maps and finishing my route planning for the trip out west this fall. Still trying to decided if I want to pick up my GFC or have it shipped to me. I outlined the options in an excel file attached to this post if anyone is interested in seeing and adding input.
