I went with a Garmin unit and added the wireless cam into the popnlock tailgate handle. Honestly a cheap solid pioneer head unit with Bluetooth does just fine. I use it all the time.

In my previous 05 taco I replaced the HU with a Pioneer unit and I will never do that again. Several issues with it randomly reaching concert level volumes when it was super cold outside with out me even touching the controls. Apparently that was a thing with those until Pioneer fixed it on that particular HU. Also it seemed to be rather slow connecting to my phones for music or making calls. All in all I was not happy with it. That being said I am currently running the stock non entune HU in my new to me 13 and thus far it is a MARKED improvement over that Pioneer POS. I do not know if I will replace it because I do not really need to, I don't need GPS in the HU as I am planning on running a Garmin unit with the SD hunt maps chip installed so I can see all the offroad and hunting trails and will have it mounted to a ram mount in the a pillar like what you see here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/mod-a-pillar-ram-mount-gps-phone-holder.372250/. I know this didn't really answer your question and I do apologize for that just giving you my two cents and we all know what that is worth.
