    Yep...
The whole point is to get any and all contaminants out of the u-joint.
The only way to insure this happens, is to pump until new grease appears out of all 4 seals.
It's a 'flush and fill' procedure; not 'fill only'.

I cleaned the excess grease a little BUT some did fling around after driving. Should I clean any that gets on the exhaust or anywhere in particular?

I hopped under mine today, I couldn't find any. I used to do them on my 2nd gen all the time, so I'm pretty familiar with how they hide. How many should be on my 18 TRD OR 4x4?

WE all need to know where this place is, so that we can avoid it, and the logic they use

There are no changes, so yes would be a very good guess.

I have to say with the Taco being my first truck, it is freaking awesome to just slide under there and do most everything without the need for a jack or ramps.

Just did all 5 of mine, they were dry as a bone. Very little factory grease came out...should have done this MUCH sooner.

Build date 12/15, 44k on the odo...

44k on the odo and no known issues though? What exactly is the impact of not having the u joints greased? One guy earlier claimed it wasn't necessary..

No prior issues, but I feel better knowing they are full of fresh/good grease in them now.

Hopefully they don’t wear out prematurely due to lack of factory grease.

Sorry if dumb question, but aren't most modern u-joints, propellor shafts, etc. not supposed to be purged when greased?

I was under the impression that overfilling well sealed joints could cause churning and breakdown of grease and actually increase wear.
    Edu-ma-cate me.

    News to me...
I would not call them "well sealed joints", either.
    You've seen the Spicer videos?
