AC fan broken, passenger floor damp

My AC fan stopped blowing a few days ago. The night before, it worked fine. we had the heat and fan blasting. Now all I know works is the fresh/recycled air button.

I might be related to the old 'musty smell' issue. I've read here that mold/mildew can grow in the vents when using recycle intake for too long, which I mainly used. Switching to fresh intake and a new cabin air filter seemed to fix the issue. Old cabin air filter looked fine though.

Cleaning the interior before a wash yesterday, I noticed the passenger floor was damp, and had some black spots. It hasn't rained for about two weeks. Could the water around the AC box be responsible for the damp floor as well as taking out the fan?

I'm not sure if these issues are related, but does anyone know a fix? I know these are somewhat common issues. I will be checking the fuses soon to see if that was was took out the AC. Any ways to combat the mold on the floor? Not looking forward to reupholstering.

I read most of these threads but can't find what the fix is exactly, since pics are mostly expired. Thanks.

The water is probably due to a plugged up drain tube for the condensation from the AC.



The fan not blowing is probably due to the blower resistor and connector overheating issue.

Undo the plugs to both the blower motor and blower motor resistor, check for any melted parts or burnt contact points. This just happened to a buddy of mine. First it was his resistor about a year ago, now the plug to the blower motor melted. Had to the replace the plug and two wires, just cut and spliced them.

 

How interesting is this? Unplugged the resistor plug, and the 3rd slot is brown of course. This let the fan blow on max only, which was expected. When I plugged it back in, it could blow on all speeds. I'll keep an eye on it.
Thank you @Jimmyh for the pictures and part numbers! I located the AC box drain hose. I didn't tug on it too hard, I have bad luck ripping old rubber bits like this. I'm going to research the best way to clean this.
The passenger carpet dried out pretty well today. Removing the floor mat and keeping the windows cracked on this hot day helped a lot.
Going to clean out the drain hose and keep an eye on these issues. Thanks everyone.

 

Get a can of compressed air and blow up into the drain hose.

 

And if you can, try and clean the terminal that’s brownish with sand paper or something. And keep a close on that blower motor plug as well...my buddies melted and smoked up real bad.

 

And Toyota will only tell you it’s a pretty common issue
