Anyone have a write up or photos of install for the bolt-to-frame sliders for the 3GT? DCSB. I was told it's all pretty straightforward, but i guess I'm just a dumbass. It's just not the most obvious thing to me for some reason. I'm sure I'll feel like an oblivious idiot once they're on there. Lol Not sure what holes to be using, it looks as if there arent enough holes available, what to be probably unscrewing to use with the provided hardware, etc. Sorry, but I'm a super visual person and prefer to not say screw it and assume/improvise until i have to. Thanks in advance for any tips or help.

Here's a link to a thorough write up I did on the Tacoma3G forum about my install this morning, since none currently exists it would seem. @2ndGenJonny thank you for your help, and the same with Brandon, and your guys' excellent customer service

That plate in the front is a bear to get at, it's why we weld the nuts to the plate. Use a small prybar to hold it in place and thread the bolt.

Thanks for the write up sir. Feel free to copy/paste it under our section here.

Do you think not using that one front plate will be an issue? It's certainly sturdy without it, i was bouncing on it without it budging and i made the effort to space out the others to hopefully maximize the anchoring, for lack of a better word, to the frame

I also emailed Brandon and told him that you guys are more than welcome to pull from that write up to draft any instructions that you may give to customers. Not to imply that Brandon's were bad, because I obviously was able to use them, but just in case you guys decide to get more detailed or come up with something more formal to distribute.

That's always been a tough spot on 2nd & 3rd gens. Yes, I think you should put it on.

Even though I'm against hi lift Jack's in general these days, it's still piece of mind knowing it's strong if the weight of the truck were to say come down on a rock.

Also in regards to the comment about the 1 3/4 .120 wall HREW, it's more than most people will ever need in a Tacoma.

Noted. I only mentioned the material because it's a frequent question when people are looking into sliders. Some people are just dead set on what they want, you know?

That's very true. I've had my whole truck slam down on a big rock and barely dinged them. It's strong stuff!
We recently used some .250 wall for a trail rig, that's some serious steel there.

You're also right about it being more than most people will ever need. This is likely true for me. We don't have a lot of rocky areas out here in El Paso, it's mostly sandy desert. Most of my contact comes from cresting hills and scraping. With the oem predator steps, i was simply gouging the earth, and when i removed them i was still scraping the base of the frame and body, so these will be great for preventing damage although i don't think I'll be slamming down on them frequently
