After doing a fair amount of research, both reading here and talking to guys at local shops, I'm having this kit installed on Thursday. The only difference would be an Icon 3 leaf AAL in place of the HS. My understanding is that Deaver is making most of these leaf packs for the usual suspects so it's probably the same thing you'd be getting with the HS AAL. My goal is ~2" up front with the 887 springs and ~1-1/2" in the rear with the factory overload removed. If I'm not mistaken, these numbers would be different for your application because 2nd gen. I'll report back with my experience. I'm sure others who have already gone this route will chime in before then.

FWIW, I had the same kit on my last truck, not a Tacoma, with the full Dakar pack and it was perfect for my needs. Mostly on-road with the need for a little more hauling capacity and some off-road use. It was great and I had zero issues with any of the components for the four years I used it before I got the new truck.

The front will depend on which spring you pick and the weight. If you have armor vs stock you'll want a heavier spring to get height.

The rear aal is 1.5-2 inches depending on removing or leaving in the overload leaf.

Hit up @HeadStrong Off-Road direct if you need their front end recommendation.

Here's my suspension install vlog where I'm using their AAL.

Dude... Just did my (fox) suspension today. First off, what a pain in the ass. Second, didn't know I was going to need to cut off part of my factory leafs so the HS 3 leaf would fit. So, I've got the bro lean going. Either way, your video will be super helpful when we finish her up and do the leaf packs next weekend.

Fox sounds like an awesome ride.

Yea I've learned the hard way over the years that the term "bolt on" doesn't mean "easy on."

Glad I can help reduce some of the pain when DIYing.

Man, being bent over all day and on my knees on concrete I am whooped. I'm in good shape, but I'm definitely feeling all 32 years of age today.

It was a learning experience for sure. I learned new ways to be full of anger and stress lol
