Anyone had any experience with the '17 and up Husky 701? From what I've gathered, KTM put the 690 Duke motor in the Husky? Unfortunately the closest Husky dealer I have is about 3 1/2 hours away, however there is a KTM dealer right down the street from me. I still have to call the KTM dealer and see if they would be willing to do work on the Husky if something came up.

cant go wrong with it. it has a few performance benefits over the 690e but same motor.

i went with the 690e to save some money, available accessories, and it was closer also

Yeah I've been researching for the past year on different bikes and what I'm looking for to suit my needs, the 690 or 701 definitely seems like a great choice for my situation (Southern Oregon, city commuting, occasional fire roads, mild.... mild singletrack.)

Here's the article on the new motor for the Husky that went in at 2017, it has a second balancer shaft that makes the motor smoother and gives it some more noticeable HP.

    https://www.cycleworld.com/husqvarna-is-putting-new-690-duke-motor-in-701-supermoto-and-enduro

I'm hoping that they're using this motor in the new 690's, I don't know why they wouldn't be..? This would be good news for me haha =) I can't seem to find any information about this online though.

i dont think they will. it gives a reason to buy the 701 over the 690. either way youll be happy. i wish i had the riding the pnw has

Yeah that is a valid point... I think I'll be happy too.. It would just be nice having the dealer 2 miles away incase SHTF, warranty stuff, parts, etc... About twenty more days days and I'll be ready, freakin stoked! BRAAPPPPPP BURRAPPPPPP :headbang:

    I don't know why and I know that I shouldn't, but I've been looking at the MT-09's....

Could totally pay for it if I sell both bikes too.

I like them, don't know squat about them though.

Checked the valves on the TW. The intake valve was still in spec, but the exhaust needed to be tweaked.
