09 Tacoma.steering controls don't work

Wife and I took on the challenge of changing the rack and pinion steering. When we finished, no function works on steering wheel. Please, any help appreciated.

 

Sounds like you broke the clock spring. Did you keep the wheel stationary during the process?

Buy a clock spring on eBay if you’re not rich. Make sure it’s with controls for wheel. As there are two types.
Easy to replace there is a write up on here somewhere.
I did the same thing been using an eBay clock spring for years now

Thanks for all info. Have it fixed. Over 500 at Toyota.
