Hello TW i am about to replace my parking brake in my truck. I noticed that to do so there is this one bolt holding the brake cable bracket in place. Watched a video about it but even the guy had trouble with it and didnt go into detail on how he was able to do so. The bolt in question is right next to the fuel tank and is ontop of the frame and below the cab. It is a 12 mm and there is almost no room to get a wrench to fit into the area from the inside of the frame area and no room on the outside either because rockers are in the way. Im assuming plenty of you had done this repair before as its a common 2nd gen problem where the aluminum mounts crack for whatever reason. Please let me know what you used and how you did so.

I never saw a 2nd Gen up close and in person.

I guess your changing the parking brake cable .

Everyone I have done over the years I just cable tie the new cable to the old one . I never had any problems.

After the first time when all the hardware started breaking even before the liquid brine era started .
