How you holding up big papa? Took Pepper the pup out on a quick 3.5 mile loop today in the heat. She breezed through it

Marmot Limelight 3 person. Got it on sale at REI. Great tent in all weather, but don't expect to fit 3 people. It's a two person one dog tent max. Any other questions, feel free to ask!

As much as I say I don't like camping, there's part of me that wants to. I don't want an RTT or have to set up a ground tent. I think @steele-taco had a tent that I would be interested in. It was a cot with a tent over it I think. I can fux with that I think.

What tires are you running exactly, I also did the body mount Chop and trimmed the bottom off the plastic off the fenders. I have BFG KO2 305/65/R17 and I had copper 33x12x17 mud tires but I’m looking to go bigger

Did you use your jack to compress your tires to see how much room you had?

Exactly! I had my sleeping pad in there for insulation, and it made a huge difference. It had slipped down during the night exposing my shoulders, and I could tell a huge difference in temperature
They’re 295/70r17, or 33.5”x11.6” cooper mtp. To clearance them, I removed my coilover, and used the jack under the LCA to move the tire upwards into the wheel well, and turned it side to side. This way I could cut and hammer anything in the way.

I think a small ground tent would be a great start for you. They're really not hard to set up, and it's nice having a little room to move around. I can have my small 3 man set up by myself in about 10 minutes.

My DS upper CV axle boot is shot and throwing grease everywhere. Can't fix right now. Can I go a couple weeks with the boot torn? Is it still OK missing some of that grease?

I wanna refurb/replace the CV axle and steering rack all in one shot.

You'd be fine so long as you plan on replacing it, not refurbishing it. If dirt and stuff gets in there then it can really mess with it.

I had a crack in my passenger boot while cross country. The consensus I got was it would be fine as long as I kept dirt/mud/sand out of it the best I could. Even with loss of grease and not fixing till we’ll after I was home everything was fine. The amount of grease may be in question, the more grease loss the quicker I would fix.

I’m good dude thanx for asking. Baby is sleeping all day and up all night. I took two weeks off of work and return tomorrow so that will be tough when momma is home by herself. Ziggy has been super needed now cuz of the baby. Just started taking him for bike rides round the block to let off some energy..
