It really can change the flavor when it’s heated up.

I normally sauce ‘em while on the grill, but wasn’t sure if they’d want it or not.

A number of years ago I picked up a cookbook for my mother in law. Can’t remember the name but it is 3 ingredient recipes. There are all sorts of 3 and 4 ingredient books out there. Might be up your ally for those days when you need something quick easy and good.

well its for everything really, but depends on your taste. Personally I prefer it on pork, chicken and fish. BUT it also is good on brisket. Some here like it on steak...which its not bad for me just a bit too sweet for a steak IMO. Some do like it on steak though. Its really a good rub overall many here can attest to that including myself. Ive seen it on brisket, tri-tip I think, ribs, chicken, pork loin, pork shoulder, chicken wings, corn and some other things Im sure I missed.

check it out here and theres a discount code for TW users. order on his link in his sig.

I like ribs with sauce caramelized, but for pork or brisket just a dab on the sammich or a small side for dipping. I dont like a ton of it on my brisket...seems to drown out the brisket flavor.

The spicy one is great on wings. A little sweet for me on brisket, decent on pork. Wings though, awesome.

I’m going to try some. Thanks !!!

My favorite brisket rub is made by OakRidge BBQ. It’s called Black Ops.

I make a wet rub for steaks that I’ve been sworn by the family to never change.

Pretty much good in beef, but this stuff sounds like it would work well on chicken.

Man, we love wings at home. I can always use another rub.

I’ve been running two rubs in every wing cook.....RecTec Grills Greek Rub the covered with Plowboys Yardbird rub.

Not a bad combination. No sweet to it....and no heat. Wife hates heat and son hates overly sweet. Drives me nuts not being able to crank up the spice sometimes.

I’s been cooking the wings with those two ribs and then letting them sauce with whatever they wanted d afterwards.

I’d discovered some “after” rubs by Kosmos BBQ. They have a ghost pepper version I cut with their honey version for my wings.

Pitfaced Hot version sounds really to my liking.

    Thank you.

Was driving home from work on my day off yesterday and checked in with headquarters....specifically on dinner desires.

My wife said she'd like a burger.

Didn't have to twist my arm nary a bit to oblige that request. Burgers are in my wheelhouse.

    Did these slightly Jamaican style.....

Since the kettle was already out....I went with it this afternoon. Driveway cooking.

Made up a batch of burgers.....the Jamaican aspects were provided by a Weber jerk seasoning rub that I mixed into the meat sparingly. If you haven't checked your local supermarket for Weber rubs lately....I urge you to do so. Flavors are unique to each and I've yet to have one that didn't deliver excellence. Hyooge value, too vs. other storebought rubs.

The other Jamaican aspect were a few Red Stripes enjoyed during this cook. Super suds. If you even remotely like beer....then you owe it to yourself to try these. Even better when on the beach and eating fresh fish....but I digress.

    Thanks man.

Just got home from a very short OT shift and will be enjoying the afternoon on the deck. It's 78 right now just after 4:00pm and sunny. Think I'll take the bluetooth boombox out to the deck and get some yardbird cooking.

Had the day off today.....so I went in and got a quick 8hrs of OT....hit the grocery store on the way home and picked up a yardbird on sale.

Home....chilled for a bit and then fired up Ole Red to cook the shicken.

Krunk some tunes in the kitchen and on the deck.

Dusted down the cut up shicken with these two rubs....

Gonna let the rubs set for a while in the fridge while she comes up to cruising temp and I enjoy a Red Stripe or two......

Gotta love getting home from a long day at work and jumping on a leftover burger that was almost as good as the afternoon it came off the grill. :)

    Understood.

Reheated with some Don’s Seasoning Delight really helped.

    It adds moisture.

    Excellent product!!!

    Superfast meal last night.

Smash some garlic and toss in a pot with olive oil....dump in a heap of spinach leaves, grind some pepper and add a bit of sea salt....stir while a fillet is in the 350 oven (brushed with olive oil & seafood rub and drizzled with honey).
