Depending on where you are and the snow situation I know a few places to learn.

    exhaust and k@n filter setup.
The new minelab equinox 600 or 800 is good....pinpointers I would say the orange garret pro pointer at if you get one. If you hunt the beaches a sand scoop such as the xtreme scoop. I have the 800 and I have a garrett atx, atx is expensive but it goes deep and picks up gold pretty good. Those 2 detectors seem like a good combo for me. metal detectors seem to be pretty good when you get into the 600-900 dollar range. If you want to hunt in the water keep in mind water proof detectors at least to 10 or 15 feet as well as maybe waterproof headphones if your snorkling and going deeper than waist deep.

Put the equipment back in the truck today after hibernating through the winter.

Just got out the ZED 7000 and my GMT. It's time to go for gold before I go to work in two weeks.

Yeah it sucks bad. I used my minelabs to put beans on the table in the winters. Now I'm stuck in the shallows digging trash and a few coins. I'm a gold Hunter and have done extremely well the last two and a half years and now I'm only heald up. I'm going to get an other zed7000. At least I know where to make a living with it.

Just noticed this thread. Coincidentally I turned my metal detector on about a month ago after it was not used for a year or so. Batteries leaked and ruined the circuit board. Cost about $130.00 to get fixed but good as new now..
