Those look amazing, I just don't know if the 70 pound savings is worth the price. Great work though!!

I'm pretty sure you are not the only one to think this. I have this feeling we are over the price point. I wanted to be around $1000, but I just can't get it there. Aluminum material is expensive, I have to buy another die for my tubing bender which is not cheap and I will have to eat the cost, and welding them takes a long time and a good fixture. Go too fast and they will warp. Took us 2x time to weld over our steel ones.

I totally understand that and am not trying to bash your price, I don't think what you are asking is unreasonable. I'm seriously considering picking up some of your sliders and skids, hopefully in the near future. What does shipping run to MA?

I would greatly appreciate pictures of both the 0 and 20 degree installed before making that choice. I went to your site and I think this is a 0 degree install:

and this is a 20 degree install:

I would like a picture straight down the body of the truck showing how far each sticks out.

20 degree. Best I can do. It’s not an easy picture to get.

Bumping this back up. Any chance for a consolation steel slider group buy if the aluminum sliders don’t make? :)

My bad I voted yes but then I saw the Black Friday deal and splurged on steel. Unless I can trade lol

    Online polls are B.S.?
With enough time, everyone realizes steel is best for sliders?
    Weight savings is expensive?

Online polls have their value, they just have to be detailed enough. I’m in the throes of slider decisions and really wanted the aluminum ones to come out a bit closer to steel. Turns out it’s a little more expensive than that. About 40% by eyeballing it.

I was in it mostly for weight savings. Well, 100% for weight savings. The total cost and delivery time sort of has me on hold for that cost though.

I’m just busting everyone’s balls. We kinda knew it would turn out this way because of the price. It's just a lot more expensive for not that much weight saving. That's why we dragged our feet for so long on it, but so many people kept asking us to do it that we thought maybe there was a market. There are ways for us to make them cheaper, but it'd be hard to cut cost and still have them support the weight of the truck.

Truthfully, a 40-50% increase in price for a ~50% decrease in weight isn't that bad of a deal. It's just that a good set of sliders is already fairly expensive, and it gets harder to justify that price increase. If I were regularly towing a camper, 80 lbs would matter more. I rarely off-road, so sliders are just for that 'oh-shit' moment, and for general climb aboard use.
