Not for me. Never owned a 360 and always had PS. My buddy got a 4 and I wasn't impressed with it. Just seemed like it needed something. Xbox One was great until they changed the layout to the pile of shit that they have now. I used to like the layout, now it's just a clusteruck of useless shit. As for games Forza Horizon and Titan Fall make it worth it for me. I also only know one person with a PS4 and he never plays it but almost everyone I know is on xbox.

 

I miss PC gaming, don't miss PC cost to game.

True but it can last a lot longer than most lifespans of consoles most the time.

 

I need to keep building my PC I've been on PS. I don't even have a graphics card.

 

I own both so it all works. A decent pc build can easily push 1080 60+fps no problem and still push most games at high settings with certain tweaks at times. But there is a benefit and non to both.

 

I've been thinking of selling my 60GB PS3 (now with 500GB). it's the one that plays PS1/PS2 games also. Think it's still worth anything?

Yeah I wouldn't take it to them. I would try craigslist or something cause GameStop shafts people with trade in stuff.

 

A few years ago I got a PS3 slim (I think 160gb but can't remember), 4 controllers, 10+ games, all the cables, $100.

I was happy with the deal. Almost all the games I got I didn't own. It just sits at my cabin now. Never gets used. I think since then I've squired two more PS3's, two Xbox Ones, Atari (with games and controllers), and a few laptop/desktops that people just didn't want anymore. Ended up giving away one of the xbox's and the Atari to my buddy who has a video game museum in his house. Just needed them out of the house.

 

So I think I'm going to set up a server in the basement in my apartment building. I can't run a cable from the 3rd floor. I can get a 2.4GHz signal down there, but not 5GHz. To me it's only worth it if I can get decent transfer speeds.

That said, I don't think a usb wireless adapter, even with an antenna, will cut it. Maybe a second wireless router with multiple antennas?

 

I think depends how good the antenna is and how much wall it goes through signal wise

 

It's an apartment complex, it's going to be flooded with Wifi signals. If you can't run a cable it's most likely a waste of time.

 

I think it will be, as far as throughput goes. I can't even see 5GHz from my WRT3200ACM with 4 external antennas. I get about 40% on 2.4GHz from my Cisco E3000 without external antennas.
