I’m eyeing the razorweld Vipercut 30.

Some folks in here suggested a cheap Chinese plasma if I had to keep cost down. The Vipercut seems to be of the same thread but with dealers in the US (even one if CT)

Negative went into work early today to weld it so tomorrow morning will be the first time. I'll tell you though just from welding it together and seeing the final product it's definitely high quality

I see. I have a plasma cutter you could use. Time to meet up right now is the only issue

So got the swag finger break all set up and I'm definitely a fan. I am getting used to where I need to stop the bend for a perfect 90 due to spring back. This one in Mt opinion came out pretty good, just a C hair past 90. Material is 3/16X6 cold rolled 1018 plate and it did it easily.

Also if anyone has any tips for make bends less than 90 so say a 45 or 60. Any way to easily measure it while still in the break?

magnetic based angle finder is what I've been using.

Also used one like this and lay it on the piece and the brake (i cut one end down to 2" or so to fit the "brake" side) Just have ot remember to halve your desired angle with that one since its only reading half the bend (ie when it reads 22.5 the total ange is 45)

Get a heavy ruler that you can mount to the upper or lower beam of your press. Then you can measure the travel and by trial and error you can figure out your travel vs angle. Start will less than required and slowly increase your travel until you hit your desired angle. Then by hitting the same travel you will have repeatable angles.

When you use a proper brake press it uses an eccentric adjustment to change the travel of the upper beam. So we just dial it in bit by bit until we hit the correct bend angles. First piece or two is all trial and error. By having a ruler on your press you can do similar adjustments.

Thanks. Just for screwing around and general fun. Should work just fine. Gonna order the Trail Gear winch mount with the frame mounts as a cheater for a front bumper. We'll see if that comes out half decent. Still pretty new to the fab seen
