I'm wondering if I can make this work with a toprac instead. The issue is the fiberglass on the camper thus no decent ground plane. I'd still have a decent ground plane forward, from the cab roof, but I'm not sure that 5x prinsu crossbars would act as a ground plane for waves propagating to the rear of the vehicle. Anyone see any toprac CB antenna mounts?

Finally got to test out my ARB awning.

Very sturdy (both rack and awning), really happy with the end product.

Thanks! I wanted to keep the rack streamlined looking so I decided to put the awning out back, I got the idea from FJs.

Just ordered my powder coated rack, black cross members, the 1x1, and the edge trim from Venture Overland Company for $690.62 shipped. Used this code FIRSTORDER. From Prinsu it would have been $718. Not sure if the code is still active but I figured I would post it.

    None.
Seems a little steep considering I can get one made in California for like $250

Does anybody have ARB awning attached to their Prinsu?
Looking at different sizes but I’m not sure if the 8x8 (2.5) will fit on the Prinsu efficiently. Might go with 6x8 (2.0) instead

Here is the ARB Awning 2000.
    IMG_20180423_201248.jpg
I have it set even with the very front of the rack and it hangs about 18" off the rear. I think the 2500 would be a bit too long.

Yes, after some research I think the 2500
is overkill. ARB rep said max overhang is 27” or 24” if both sides overhang.
Thought I wanted the aluminum 2500 until I saw price tag!
Going to purchase the 2000 and possibly the walls for it. I wanted an annex for my Tepui originally for gear, dog, and changing room for family. But it’s useless unless you mount RTT on roof. No head room with it mounted on bed.

Sick truck! That an AllPro Rack? Thanks for the info! Much appreciated

Yeah, the rack is the All-Pro Pack Rack, it's pretty well designed, almost invisible from the rear view.

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
I have the Prinsu DCSB cabrack with a Smittybilt overlander RTT mounted sideways on it and a ARE MX shell. I am thinking of getting a short 49” ARB awning model like the 1250 to hang off the same side of my MX shell that my RTT opens, thus making a larger shade area that includes the open RTT floor (which is high enough off the ground for me to walk under it without bending - it makes a great sun shelter itself!). Anyone have experience with the 1250 or similar sized ARB or Smittybuilt awning models? I will have to make a custom bar on the MX shell to mount the awning to it as well. Here is what I currently look like with the Cabrack + RTT. I want the awning to extend off the right side of the MX next to the RTT- any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!
