    Received mine, thanks!

Does anyone know how to use the Inreach with a navigation app, say Waze of Gaia on an iPad or iPhone? I have it paired via Bluetooth but not sure if it is relaying the GPS location.

With my ipad once it's paired it automatically sends gps data. There's no selections to make, just works.

When you go on the Garmin website to setup the inreach it has options to select maps to download via USB. I'm not sure if there are nautical charts but I never looked for them specifically.

Just want to say, these Garmin's are awesome. I can see why folks keep these handy everywhere they go. I feel 99% better about venturing off into non-cell reception places and such now. I've already said it a million times, but thanks again @ramonortiz55.

I have the Delorme version I bought last fall that works on the same exact plans as the Garmins through the Garmin service. Garmin bought out Delorme and updated the physical unit itself a little but the functions are the same. The only thing the Delorme is missing is they do not use base maps, just a track on a white background. I don't use it to navigate so to me it was worth the savings. These things are worth their weight in gold if you travel off grid and have an emergency or just want to check in. Cabelas has the Delorme version on sale right now for $199 if someone wants to save a few bucks.

I've used it with the Garmin earthmate app on my Samsung S7. Make sure bluetooth is turned on in the InReach. I think the earthmate app took care of the pairing between the InReach and phone.

    https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/web...0D7-1BB7-4AAC-9F3D-8B3BF780C292-homepage.html

    Pairing Your Mobile Device
You must pair your inReach® device with your mobile device to use Bluetooth® features.
    1. From the app store on your mobile device, install and open the Earthmate® app.
    2. Place the inReach device and your mobile device within 3 m (10 ft.) of each other.
    3. On the inReach device, select Settings > Bluetooth > Pair Device > Pair Device.
    4. Follow the instructions in the Earthmate app to complete the pairing and setup process.
After the devices are paired, they connect automatically when they are turned on and within range.

Used mine on a solo camping trip to Moab outside of cell range and kept the family happy and kept me feeling safe knowing I could contact help if needed. I’d definitely pay full price if I didn’t get mine in this group buy.

I may be misunderstanding your question, but this isn't a satellite data tethering device. It's more just a 2 way communicator that works with it's own app if so desired.
