Yea. Not looking forward to that. But thats a goal this spring to get that off, sand blasted, and repainted. The powdercoat has lasted, but its almost time to redo

 

DUDE. Just had an idea, and it’s something we can do with welding. Basically weld together a Y and weld two bolts on the end. Drill two holes in the top of the cap, and it should twist off.

 

Or better yet, no welding. Just get a long piece of bar stock, and drill two holes in the end. Nuts and bolts, and do the same thing.

If you are gonna mutilate the cap, film it atleast for the gram!

 

I mean, you could try it. It’d probably cost the same to just get a new cap from billy though, and you’d have a nice new shiny one, with non fucked up threads.

 

could drill holes, then have them tig filled, and ground down smooth.. therefore no cap needed

 

Yeah, that could work as well! The holes don’t need to be that big. Maybe 1/4”

 

You could also cut a flat spot on two sides. Then put a big adjustable wrench on it. Pipe on the handle if needed

Yeah, In general left handed threads always get me... try and try, stripping shit. Then it ends up being LH...

Can’t hurt to try at this point.

 

Unless he changed it, it’s RH thread. That’s how @HCJ was when we did his.
